Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Lady Grace Academy for women only?
A:
Yes. We wanted to create a feminine space where women could feel free to explore there sensual side in a safe, supportive environment.

Q: What should I wear to class?
A:
Regular workout wear. Many women prefer to wear more form-fitting items like tank tops and yoga pants so they can see the lines of their body as they move. But anything you’re comfortable in perfectly acceptable.

Q: Do I have to wear heels?
A:
Absolutely not. In fact, unless you’re already comfortable dancing in heels it’s preferable that you start out barefoot or in ballet slippers/jazz shoes and work your way up. We want you to feel sexy, but safety always comes first.

Q: Is there nudity in any of the classes?
A:
Never. We stay in our workout clothes at all times. When we do perform a “striptease” it is always out of an item of clothing placed over top of our workout wear.Your comfort is our top priority. Our job is to simply give you the tools and techniques of striptease – it’s up to you to take them home and practice whenever, however and with whomever you wish ;)

Q: Are there age restrictions?
A:
As a minimum, we ask that students be at least 18 years old. There is no maximum – we have many students in their 40s, 50s and 60s. There have been several sassy dames in their 70s as well. Sensuality knows no age limit.

Q: Will I be expected to perform in front of the class?
A:
No. You can put those worries to rest. You’re not going to be on display – you’re there to learn and absorb. And we know you can’t do that if you’re afraid of having to be the center of attention. Of course, if you decide you want to be the center of attention, we’ll happily give you a turn in the spotlight. Otherwise, the pressure’s off.

Q: Are these classes only for people who want to become performers?
A:
Nope. The vast majority of women who take Lady Grace classes never perform on stage. They simply want to get in touch with their femininity, learn to move sensually or try something they’ve never done before.

Q: But what if I want to become a performer?
A:
Then you’re in the right place! Not only can you learn the basics from the ground up, but the academy can put you in touch with people throughout Texas who produce shows and and are always looking for exciting new performers.

Q: I’m not familiar with the neighborhood near the studio, is it safe?
A:
Yes. I’ve been teaching in this studio for years, and have never had an issue. For your added security, we always lock the door before starting class so no one can walk in. The parking lot is well lit at night, and LGA personnel are always the last ones to leave, so we make sure everyone is in their cars and on their way home before we go.
